Editorial independence
Editorial decisions are made independently of donors, sponsors, clients, partner organizations, political actors, and other external interests.
Financial support does not confer influence over what we publish, whom we invite to contribute, the positions our contributors take, or the conclusions reached in our editorial or research work.
Contributors are selected on the basis of expertise, relevance, and the quality of the arguments they can bring to public debate. Funding relationships do not determine editorial positions.
Iran & Global Affairs does not represent the views of any government, political party, opposition movement, donor, sponsor, client, or partner institution.
How we support our work
Iran & Global Affairs keeps its core editorial content freely accessible.
To support its work and long-term sustainability, IGA may receive funding through grants and institutional support, independently conducted commissioned research, professional briefings and training, and carefully selected partnerships and event sponsorships consistent with its mission and independence.
Commissioned research does not give a funder or client the right to determine IGA's findings or conclusions. Where appropriate, commissioned work, sponsorships, partnerships, and significant sources of financial support will be disclosed.
We may decline funding or partnerships that could reasonably compromise, or create the appearance of compromising, our editorial independence, intellectual standards, or institutional credibility.
Our aim is straightforward: to make serious ideas and analysis widely accessible while building a sustainable institution around independent expertise.
